But as I understand it, the temple must be built in order that Christ can come back and sit on the throne. The Bible also names several tribes, as they were known when Christ was alive on earth, and indicates whose side they will be on. Scholars have researched these tribes, and found that the enemies of Israel will likely be the Arab nations surrounding them, including Iraq, and it even indicates Russia. The nations who will join Israel in the fight are described as "The merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof." (Ezekiel 38:13) The ships of Tarshish were involved in trading. Tarshish is described as a merchant and maritime power, which points to Britain, which is one of the largest trading nations. Also note, that the Lion is an emblem of Britain, and has been for a long time. Britain is an "old country," while the young "lion" may refer to America, being an English speaking nation deriving from Britain, and also being a "young country" in comparison with European and Middle Eastern countries. We are also a leader in trading. What the Bible indicates, is that though it will appear that Israel and it's allies will win, it will be more difficult than it appears. The "winner" will be Israel ultimately, but it will take Godly intervention. "At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time, and at that time thy people shall be delivered." Daniel 12v1 Michael means "He who is like God." Jesus Christ is referred to in the Bible as "like unto his father." But that doesn't mean that the "Jews" will be the winners. God has made a promise to the Jews, and their ancestors that he will create his Kingdom on earth. This won't be done for their benefit, but to fulfill what he has said will happen. And those who beleive in the grace and forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ are the ones who will be THE WINNERS. Because this is not the "end," It's just the beginning of eternity. But I think that the bonds with Israel and the United States will become stronger. Since they are both seen as enemies to the superiority of the Muslem middle east. I hear religious based talk that we are "The Great Satan" and Israel is considered by Muslem extremists to not have the right to exist. Whatever the case is. I'm pretty certain that Israel building a temple would not cause the world to come to an end. But it would be interesting to see it built. Mainly to find out if the account is true. In religious context. What is supposed to happen? Are the Muslems, Christians or Jewish supposed to make it through?
