================================================ Subject: The article?... Prior topic?... Welcome Laura...Good point Michele From: "creed -7m3 - live" To: Date: Mon 10 Sep 2001 18:38:13 -0400 ================================================ The guy in the article sounded like he was being negative towards Linux. I got that he was saying that all of the computer suppliers will continue to pay whatever the price was for the XP system. Basically, he thinks that there is no serious alternative and the vendors are stuck with one operating system. I think that there is an alternative to the Microsoft OS. One that is free and growing. One that is catching on with the more knowledgable computer users. We differ with the way that we interpret things also. Also, welcome to the list Laura. I hope that you enjoy the list. I'm from Columbus, Ohio. Married and over 40. All kids are out on thier own and we only borrow the 4 grandkids. (One more on the way.) On Sun, 2001-09-09 at 23:51, Keith P. Don't feel bad Michelle. The Computer discussions weren't very interesting anyway. The attempt to lighten up the atmosphere of the list is great. I admit that most of the conversations do not interest me. But it is great to read a few people discussing things in the spirit to get to know others interests better. I read and deleted about 75 emails. I didn't find any of them to fit my interests. But at least I read them. I'm only replying to this one. Since there was references to me in the message.
