Mears" To: Date: Fri 7 Sep 2001 07:50:14 -0500 ================================================ Straight line distance, it IS closer than that, but with the way the expressways are set up, there really is NO convenient straight line from Palos Hills to Buffalo Grove. The most direct way is Route 83 all the way, but that's about two hours without traffic, because you have to go through so many other suburbs on your way. The FASTEST way (traffic permitting, of course) is 294 North to Lake Cook Rd, and then west on Lake Cook. Of course, that's usually the WORST traffic, so I always went 294 to 88 West to 355 North, then (again, depending on traffic) 290 until it ends at Lake Cook. Any way you go, it's a haul.
