(Safety and the "oil shortage") If the 55 MPH limit was overturned. Due to its unconstitutionality. (Federal highway fundings with strings attached.) I hope that other things that are tied to highway funds are overturned. I'm sort of confused with the unconstitutionality of the 55 MPH limit. And the tying of the alcohol related issues, to the highway funds. Either way. I like Montana's attitude.(Never surrender) Jim ---------------- On Fri, 2001-09-07 at 04:38, Tara wrote: > The way I understood it was that the 55 mph limit was put into effect > because of the gas shortages. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: King_Dovregubben > To: > Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2001 11:07 PM > Subject: Re: NCR: speed limit > > > > Not quite true. If you could travel back in time and observe the original primate family in the original tree, you would see the primate parents yelling at the primate teenager for sitting around and sulking all day instead of hunting for grubs and berries like dad primate. Then you'd see the primate teenager stomp up to his branch and slam the leaves. -- Dave Barry, "Kids Today: They Don't Know Dum Diddly Do" To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
