================================================ Subject: Re: NCR: speed limit From: To: Date: Fri 7 Sep 2001 01:06:01 EDT ================================================ Well I was 8 months pregnant, on my way home from work and had to PEE like you wouldn't beleive. So needless to say, I was flying. Well a friend of mine happens to be a corrections officer, and his dad's a lieutenant. So I casually mentioned that he looked familiar, and asked if he was at my friend's wedding a few month's prior (about half of the guests were cops). Turned out he was a rookie cop, and had a run in with my loudmouth friend down at the jail. I didn't have my insurance card on me, so I got busted for that, and he was giving me shit about my license plates not being switched over to my new car yet. Like I have control over that, right? Meanwhile I'm begging him to let me pee, and he accuses me of lying. And I KNOW I wasn't going more than 10 over, but he said it was 18, and when I asked to see the radar, he said "You were clocked by another officer at the intersection of (blah blah blah)." But I did luck out in a way, because I told my friend about it, and he must've said something to somebody, because when I went to court the cop wasn't there, so I got off with a $45.00 fine, and the judge said it wouldn't go on my record. It was my second ticket too (the first was 14 over and in a different county) so I should've gotten driving school too, from what I was told. Interesting side note: I'm dating my friend's brother now. So now I'm even further into the circle (scary thought).
