They're Navy. One of my brothers was a Seabee. "CB" stands for "construction battalion" and it's most definitely not a marine unit. It is, however, the first unit to be deployed behind the marines at the front lines of battle. They're responsible for all the infrastructure of the front lines; roads, bridges, housing, etc. This is so that the army can be deployed and have infrastructure available to them. I remember my brother saying that they could build a bridge that could support a tank over a span of 80 feet in less than 3 hours. THAT's building, and that's what they were trained and worked for. > -----Original Message----- > From: Creed Discussion List > [mailto:CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM] On Behalf Of Lisa King > Sent: Sunday, September 02, 2001 12:05 AM > To: CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM > Subject: Re: WAS Re: NCR: ABSOLUTELY STUNNED - NOW Pointless teasing > > > that one I did know.
