================================================ Subject: another Creed related part 2 From: "Lisa King" To: Date: Thu 30 Aug 2001 15:47:55 +0000 ================================================ here is the rest of the meeting experience, (if you are still interested) It’s not every day you end up 2 feet away from someone who touches millions of lives, so of course, I imposed, and said, “hey man, we would like to get your autograph and possibly a picture.” My wife mentioned that we didn’t have anything to write on, but he quickly said, “no problem, I’ve got something here.” He had a pamphlet relating to children’s charity, and found a spot that was bare enough to write “To Sam and Kim: It was nice meeting you both. Go Cowboys! Creed/2001, with his signature under the Creed/2001. Then he said, “I’d like to avoid stirring up too much commotion, but when we get to the airport, we can take a picture in the tunnel right outside the cockpit. I’ll remember.” So, we all got settled back into our seats and settled down for the ride. Scott and the guy who was riding with him were listening to CDs of some sort. Scott had headphones on for the majority of the rest of the trip, occasionally talking with whoever the other guy was. I was under the impression he was a road manager of some sort. I would recognize him if I saw a picture. When the plane landed, it wasn’t long before we all were standing and ready to get out of there and beat the crowd behind us. Scott walked a few steps toward the exit door, then turned around and waved us both to come on up and get the picture. So, we took a few steps into the tunnel, and my wife handed our camera to the guy traveling with Scott. I told him, “I’ll let you do the deed.” The other guy just smiled, took the camera, and Scott stood between my wife and me, arms around both of us, and the shutter snapped. Scott then shook my hand as I thanked him for the picture. Out of curiosity, I asked him, “hey man, does Creed have a gig in Dallas or something?” He said no, and gave us a quick explanation of why he was in Dallas instead of the recording studio. (Sorry everyone, but I feel like I shouldn’t say what he was doing in Dallas. I’ll just say it will be a pleasant surprise when everyone finds out.) A few people greeted him at the airport terminal, and we all headed in separate directions. Much to our surprise, we saw him again down at the baggage claim area, with about 3 or 4 people. After we grabbed our luggage, we had to walked past him again to get out to the passenger pick up area. As we passed him, I just smiled and flashed a peace sign at him. He smiled and peace signed me back, and said, “see ya later.” skynyrd posted 08-07-2001 01:39 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Forgot to mention the part of when we talked about our Cherokee heritage and ancestry. I have the high cheekbones of an Indian, and he noticed it and commented on it. Thought that was pretty cool. My great grandmother was Cherokee, and he commented on the Cherokee in his family. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
