I was unsure, as to which file system that win2k used. Thus, a guess was made. Beforehand, I assumed that it was NTFS. But thought that maybe it was a newer type of file system. So my assumption was partially correct. Since it is NTFS, but it is hopefully improved file system. I hope that the improved file system helps rid MS of the "dirty DOS" reputation. Which they received from the ultrafragmented DOS file systems. Another assumption that I have is, there should not be a need for a defragmentation program. Hopefully, the NTFS5 file system is cleaner and more compact. The encription feature sounds pretty useful. Though, encripted file systems have been available in the Linux world, for quite awhile.
