Exactly.  When I saw it the first time (age 10) was on CBS, cut.  Then I read the book, which was pretty shocking after the edited movie ("You will let Jesus..."; that STILL knocks me for a loop).  THEN I saw the uncut version, and had nightmares for a week.

Actually I didn't, but I did get the video that was released with the extra
footage, or what was it called..the version you've never seen or something
like that.   But its funny that teenagers today laughed at that movie.  Its
still scary to me, and like you, that is the only movie that freaks me out,
and I saw it for the first time when I was little and that was on tv..with
alot cut out..can you imagine my horror when I got older and rented it and
saw the uncut movie..lol..
