We use it to view our drawings. MS does get its share of criticism and insults, from me. A bias, that I'm sure is a tad bit noticably, to anyone reading the posts. Regarding the issue about MS charging a subscription for XP. I have already said that I have no proof about such a scheme. However, I do not feel that the subject was set out to "Scare the living pants off' of would be buyers. I haven't found an article or other source for the previous issue. Maybe this excerpt, regarding prices will calm the fears about the subscription debate. --- The worst part of this new scheme: if you don't upgrade to Office XP by Oct. 1, you'll end up paying essentially the same price as if you were buying Office for the first time, not upgrading. Consumers who upgrade to XP before Oct. 1, 2001 pay $239 for the Standard edition and $329 for the Professional edition; after that, the cost of upgrading will come close to the cost of purchasing the program from scratch. The new user prices are $479 and $579, respectively. ----- The only thing accomplished by continued comments about the price scheme, is that you will make my desire to find the article, more desirable. Here is a good word about Microsoft. My machine worked all day, without crashing or leading to an error. I didn't have to search the internet for a patch, for a bug, that I'd have to know how to spell. The reason that I thought th bug was called msprexe, instead of mprexe, which is the program that the bug was in. Is because everything seems to start out as mscrash.exe or something. Plus, the fact that I am at home and running a different operating system. Jim ----------------------- Keith P.
