bunch of things... if you're connected to the internet or have other applications running it can cause errors.  Using crappy media can cause errors.. old drivers... all kinds of stuff. For as far as technology has advanced, CD burners are still pretty unstable.

the only thing I can think of would be to try to install it again..sometimes
that works, but I am not sure..I've never got that message before.
