And as I have already tried to explain to Ross, it is (at least in Indiana) ILLEGAL to have a birth cert with a name other than your LEGAL name.

But see if you have your name legally changed, it'll be kind of dumb to have
a birth certificate with a name that is not actually yours anymore.  What if
you need to present a birth certificate for whatever reason, it's not going
to look too good having a completely different name on it than the one you
have now.  So it makes sense on a few levels.
