Seems you may have mistaken the Cards for the Cubs!  Sadly, even as I continue to hold my breath and wait for the magic to end, it appears that the Cubs are about to make our worst fears come true.  Their lead in the Central is down to 1/2 game, and the Astros are playing GREAT baseball right now.  At least the Cards are consistent.  They're either really bad, or really good, or just average.  The Cubs OTOH may START awfully, then make an incredible run at the end of the season, or vice versa.

DAMN!  I KNEW I should have written privately first and asked where you
were.  But Cincy's an easy assumption to make there, considering all their
teams suck ASS.  And the Cards are much better than you give them credit
for.  They're still technically in the hunt, even with Big Mac hitting a
paltry .192 (however, his last TEN HITS have ALL been home runs;  that's
just amazing!).

Oh that's okay..I should have made myself more clear originally...and yeah I
know the Cards have had their good moments..I was actually proud when Big Mac
hit the 70 home runs..but the Cards just seem to have the reputation of doing
really good then blowing it at the last moments..so we'll see.
