Lee ----Original Message Follows---- From: "TANTRIC on the road with 3 Doors Down... and more" 1- TANTRIC WOWS ARENAS ON 3 DOORS DOWN TOUR 2- HBO, MTV, PAY PER VIEW AND NEW VIDEO TAPINGS SLATED FOR AUGUST 3- NEW SINGLE "ASTOUNDED" RISING QUICKLY On the road for less than two weeks, Tantric is already the hit of the 3 Doors Down, Lifehouse and Tantric summer tour. "I really didn't expect the audiences to know the words to all of our songs, but that's how it's been so far," says lead singer Hugo Ferierra. This widespread grassroots support stems from their stunning self-titled debut, which launched the smash "Breakdown," and is now poised to repeat that feat. The defiant and driving second single "Astounded" debuted last week on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and rose quickly this week to #15, receiving marks for greatest sales and airplay gains. On August 14, the band will tape an episode of HBO's acclaimed live concert performance show, "Reverb" at New York's Bowery Ballroom, for air later this fall. The following week, Tantric heads to Cleveland for a special taping at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame August 22. MTV will use footage from this two hour performance for a show to air August 29. The band's performance with STP, Live, Incubus, and Staind at the Rolling Rock Town Fair August 4 will be available as a special DirectTV pay-per-view broadcast beginning August 11, and will also be featured on VH1 later this summer. In addition, on July 27 Tantric will collaborate with legendary director Nigel Dick to film a video for "Astounded." Tantric has taken their place as one of the most interesting and dynamic groups in Modern Rock. The group is led by vocalist Hugo Ferriera, a stunning and dynamic presence who's path winds from his birth in North Africa through his childhood in Portugal and later Detroit. "Ferriera's soulful, emotional growl is a perfect fit for Tantric's talents" (Time Out NY), the group rounded out by the moody and compelling guitar of Todd Whitener and the powerful rhythm section composed of bassist Jesse Vest and drummer Matt Taul. The twelve songs of their debut are immediately striking in their haunting grace and dynamic intensity, displaying a rare subtlety and artistry from a group united by shared experience and an unshakable musical bond. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
