We're required to have it running on at least one machine at work.  It's got "puffy icons" (a young friend of mine called them that and I think it's a great description) and combines some of the features of the 9x and the NT OS's.

if you're used to running anything over win 98 it will look very familiar to you with a few more bells and whistles.  and a bit more multimedia centric.

there are  betas floating around out there so maybe more people on the list have seen it.

From what I've SEEN, the interface will be pretty much all-new, but I'm really not in the way of knowing.  Perhaps King Dovregubben can enlighten us.

Ya know, Nikki, I felt much the same about WinMe until very recently, when
I started talking to some people who either work or have worked at MS (from
whom I have learned a good bit).  I must say, I am not UNhappy with WinMe,
but from what I hear from them, I AM looking forward to the public release
of XP.  And contrary to Jim's over-simplified view of Windows, there is
PLENTY you can do with a "simple point-and-click" OS.

So is XP going to be alot different than ME, or is it going to be pretty
similar?
