I have seen Airplane, though it has been years beyond number, and I really don't remember much (if ANY) of it. But it would seem that basically you're just stating that you're not hip to the constantly shifting trends in everyday speech, which is perfectly understandable (personally, I'm kinda stuck on the 60's...you know, "groovy", "diggin' it", etc.).
