If you paid attention to the news any. you would realize that the KKK was started by the government wanting to inflame some low thinking individuals to do thier bidding for them. Jackson is a very intellegent individual and is learned in such words as diatribe. Where the idea of racist came in. I really don't see how the misconception could be taken. Now to stereotype a supposed KKK member. First they believe in God. Next they believe that the white race is the supperior beings and that other non-white races are descendants of Cain. Jackson does not believe in God. So he could not believe in such a thing. Also, Jackson is learned in a lot of different languages. His questions were directed to the Independence of Texas from the US. Which was based on things that he read or heard living in Texas. The issue of Hispanic people and the Spanish language being widespread and English being the language that should be spoken were only points in rebuttal. My view of dual languages is that of seperation between people that would otherwise be more able to communicate with each other. The alarmist attitude of Mexicans coming to the US in great numbers is an issue that Texas has to face. as well as California. Florida have Spanish speaking people that are escaping Cuba. But I don't really know how Florida views the Cuban population and if the cuban immigrants speak English. Since it is the primary language in our nation.Or if they want to set up communities of isolation and refuse to speak English.
