Find a REAL ISP (local is preferrable, and usually MUCH cheaper; I pay $14.95 a month for unlimited), then call AOL and DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER.  Regardless of WHAT they offer, tell them you are cancelling.  Then, keep an eye on your credit card for the next 3-6 months to make sure they're not still billing you (seriously...that happened to my mom).

Its true! I remember one time, my dad tried to get rid of his AOL, and they

money...

Yeah, one time I tried to get rid of AOL also, and the guy that I talked to
convinced me not to cancel it.  He even paid for a month free!  But, I really
do want to get rid of it, but how?
