I have heard that all of the varied "flavors" of Windoze are going to be discontinued. At least in the support areas. There are plans to only support windoze XP and NT5 (AKA - Windoze 2000) That means that if you have ME, 98, NT4 (service pack 6a) or windoze 95. You will cease to have your compatible applications maintained. Windoze 2000 or Windoze XP are very difficult OSes to install software of legacy onto. There are all sorts of dll files that are called the same thing. Meaning that if you installed version "a". which was needed for your legacy software. Your new program that required the same version of gouge-da-user.dll will not work properly. If at all. And guess what! You will have to buy a new version of the software that used version "A" of gouge-da-user.dll to still be able to use the program. Yes... Linux changes thier OS and programs require theirselves to be upgraded to use the new dynamic and static libraries. But you don't have to pay for the OS upgrade. Come on now... If they weren't gouging your eyes out. Why isn't everybody running NT5? Later, Jim --------------------------- Kevin L. Brown wrote: > They are? Just as food can be bad for your system, music can be bad for your spirtual and emotional feelings.
