Since language is a means of communicating with each other. A common language is very important. When you think of what this country would be like with so many different languages. It would be more divided. I know that Canada has dual french and English speaking signs. But I think that there are more dividing issues between people because of the language differences. But a Canadian can answer that question better. I only heard brief divisive comments about the French Canadians and English speaking Canadians while I was up there. But Quebec seems to be more French speaking. There used to be a person on the list that I talked to quite a bit. She spoke both French and English.I read some of her science fiction that she put up in English. I couldn't of read it in French. But should we come out with a multilingual society or come up with a language to speak internationlly with? English seems to be the primary language of talking to each other. But that is because I go mainly to US sites. I talk to people from all over. But only in English. That is because I only speak English. How many languages should a person know? The other points you mentioned seem pretty self explained. No comment on them. This nation has ONE national language, and it should stay > that way or face the terrible consequences of a nation split down the middle> betwixt those who have a legal right to be here and those who just walked right in. And I am aware of those demographic statistics of which you speak, are they not evident of past illegal immigration? > My use of "Anglo" is just that which you can find in any textbook or dictionary: descendants of Englishmen. Back this up a second, when did I say a thing about killing any one? I just think that there are a lot of people here who shouldn't be here, that doesn't mean that I want to have any one killed! My definition of "Texian" is the exact same one that my family has used for 150 years or so. It is equally applicable to the descendants of any Blacks, Mexicans, whatever, that fought to free Texas from Mexico. > I really hope that we can come away from this with an amicable conclusion. > What is your basis for thinking that I'm such swine any way? > > Rock on, > > Jackson Wade Crawford - the Raven of Texas/ Corvvs Texanis/ se Hraefn of > Texase/ Kruk Teksasu/ der Rabe von Texas/ el Cuervo de Tejas/ le Corbeau du > Texas > International Director, Corvist Association for the Preservation and > Perpetuation of Free Will > > To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: > http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp > > -- "We're not talking about the same thing," he said. For me the world is weird because it is stupendous, awesome, mysterious, unfathomable; my interest has been to convince you that you must accept responsibility for being here, in this marvelous world, in this marvelous desert, in this marvelous time.
