That IS interesting, Debbi.  To expand on your point just a bit (METALLICA REFERENCE ALERT),
James Hetfield has tried with lots of his lyrics to come to grips with his Christian Science upbringing (i.e, "The God That Failed" and "Leper Messiah" are two that come immediately to mind), but they've certainly never been labeled as a Christian band (in fact, after the Napster mess, they're probably just labeled as "EVIL"!).

An interesting side note:
 
I'm a big fan of the alarm and they have *far* more religious and spiritual references in their songs.  In the 20 years that i've been listening to them, not once have i heard them described as christian.
