Wow!  Who would have thought a thread about "chips" and "French fries" could last this long!?

Okay, once more for the "American" English impaired (this means YOU, Ross):

"chips" in America = Doritos, Ruffles, Tostitos, Lay's (yes, that IS a brand of chips, Ross!); also known as "potato chips" (Ruffles or Lay's), "corn chips" (Doritos), or "tortilla chips" (Tostitos)

"French fries" in America = long, thinly cut strips of potato, deep fried and commonly served with burgers and other fast food (PLEASE tell me you know what "fast food" is Ross!)

I think he probably thought you meant potato chips, but Keith will have to
verify that for you.
