I just made a couple compilation CDs for her birthday of songs she used to love when I was growing up. My husband and I took her to KC in April to see Billy Joel and Elton John at Kemper Arena in concert.. wow.. can I just say that was such an incredible night?? So I also put together some live tracks from a BJ/EJ concert that I found somewhere online too for her. She is gonna FLIP! Yeah, it's cool that she likes the same music as I do. I used to quiz her in the car and ask her which band was playing at that time. hehehe, she's so funny. And she's pretty perceptive too. I'm sure you know "Hanging By a Moment" by Lifehouse.. well she heard that song at the beginning and instantly asked if Creed had a new album already, because she didn't hear about it before.. but then she listened longer and realized it wasn't Creed. She's just so cool.. like a best friend to me.. I'm sure that's how you feel too Maria! That's awesome that your mom likes Ozzy! I'm sure my mom would go to Ozzfest too with me, she's just that kinda Mom. :) K, enough with the mush.. just had to share.. :) ~Kristin "We may rise and fall, But in the end, We'll meet our fate together.." -----Original Message----- From: Keith Mears kthulu@comteck.com Sent: Fri, 6 Jul 2001 21:44:54 -0500 To: creedgrrl@visto.com, CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM Subject: Re: Definately NCR but I am a happy girl!! I debated on putting that "my mom's 50" line in. She's actually much more open to trying new music than I depicted in that post, but she DOESN'T particularly like Metallica (except for "Mama Said", she LOVES that one; go figure!). BTW, VERY cool that your mom digs Creed and Metallica, etc. And definitely no hard feelings! ___________________________________________________________________________ Visit http://www.visto.com/info, your free web-based communications center.
