(drags into the NCR, but still on base) MessageAPPOLOGIES TO THE LIGHT-HEARTED OR THOSE THAT THIS DOESN'T CONCERN... SEVERE LACK OF SLEEP AND A VERY ANNOYING DAY GETS TO A PERSON.... First, to Mad... this isn't directed right at you, so don't worry or feel a massively intense need to defend yourself. This is just basically all the thoughts that have been rolling in the head for the past few days... It's really cool that you got to hang at the WAWOF with Scott... wish they'd have something up here in Michigan for it. Tara was going to see about setting up a charity thing at her work, with the proceeds getting donated to the WAWOF, but I don't know if she ever went any further with it or not. It would be about the first time this town even heard about them, actually (the foundation, not Creed). Not much news about that kind of thing gets all the way up here... it would have probably been some good publicity. It seems like (in my personal observation) that if not for the Internet, then the foundation would have been kept a pretty local thing, focussed around Florida... at least until the new CD came out and mentioned something about it there. Maybe when it get's closer to tour time, she could try proposing the charity concept with her boss... they could even raffle off 2 concert tickets or something... college town, lots of kids who like Creed, could be a good charity $$$ raiser. But that's just my brain working overtime (still having a lack of sleep, and gradulally getting crankier, which gets covered below). Now that the personal reply is over, this next bit goes public. So lets see... first, we get yelled at for fighting... then we get yelled at for not fighting but for holding a discussion... then we get yelled at again for still not fighting, but for instead replying to posts... now we're getting told to clean up a list that hasn't had a fight in several days? Umm... anyone else here, besides Debbi and I, notice a problem with this? When did this switch from a discussion list to a "read 'em and shut up" message board? Because some day I might want to come out of semi-lurk mode, and just want to know what the Hell we ARE allowed to do on here now. Would anyone care to share with me what is allowed here, if such things as posting relies, and discussing things with friends isn't wanted? I understand that ScottS may not like coming here anymore... as I recall, around the last time he posted here was about the same time that our favorite porn starlette Beth was around... so he probably caught the start of that, plus the umpteen members who would sign up just to bash the band. But things have actually gotten better around here the past few days... and if some of the members here can't handle decent conversations, then perhaps a discussion list isn't the right place for them (key word there, as several have pointed out, is "Discussion"). One person (no names) used the term "nonsense" to describe the discussions taking place. Well, as a person that participated in some of those discussions, I can say that if you would have actually read them from start to end, then they would have made sense... and some of the topics were actually very meaningful. We covered safety with fireworks, which transfered into some of the horror stories that we have seen as parents... we covered sick children... yes, none of this had to do with Creed, but honestly, how much of the posts on here right now do? If they're not fighting, why not leave them be? This list has gone through so many changes the past year and a half that I have been watching it... and as Tara mentions, it's gone through many more in the 3 years that she has been here... why is everyone suddenly now letting friendly discussions and people replying to posts bother them? Is everyone really so blind that they can't see that things are much better now than they were 2 weeks ago? Doesn't anyone LIKE that? I mean, if everyone would prefer, we could go back to the fighting... (Keith, you suck... you should have learned to duck before getting your face beat in with an ugly stick... joking, btw). Why don't we let things follow their own course and just wait patiently for the new CD. If a discussion happens that takes 100 mails, then just quickly scroll through the headers to see if there's anything you might WANT to see, then just mass-delete the rest. If you worry about the number of mails filling your hotmail account, then you probably should have used a bigger mail provider to handle them all, since the main page warns that this is a high-volume list. I would suggest to them, instead of them asking us to stop replying to posts, is instead to either get a bigger mail handler, or check their mail more often than once a week. So, now that I've managed to piss of 90% of the list (woo hoo... go me, go me... go go go), I'm going to end this off with a simple statement... not directed to anyone, but just to whoever thinks it refers to them. "Stop the bloody whining about what happens on the list, and just be glad it's not more damn fighting... try joining in on the discussions, instead of trying to shoot them down... you might have fun." Now... off to find more old posts from the archive... does anyone have a problem with me posting old funny stuff from a year ago? Of course, do I care? ¤]\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[¤ To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
