Don't parents like that just make you wanna buy a gun?  There's a family that lives about 3 miles down the road from me who regularly let their 10-year old mow the lawn, on a John Deere TRACTOR that's bigger than my car!  It's like they don't care that lawnmower accidents are the FOURTH LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH among children under the age of 14.

I was actually kinda surprised myself.  The radio station that sponsored it, like I said before, only plays Top 40 hits... so of course you know that 90% of it is pop music.  So to hear Def Leppard, Bruce Springsteen, and such, it was kind of a nice twist.  Of course, now it's back to everyday stuff.  I probably would have enjoyed it all so much more if the Firefighter in me wasn't watching all these little kids (we're talking 6 and 7 year olds) running around with fireworks and a lighter.  One kid there, with his parents in the car parked behind us, had one of those fountain fireworks, that you set on the ground, and it shoots sparks about 6 feet into the air... well, it didn't light properly... fuse burned down then went out.  So here he is (couldn't be older than 8) with the firework in one hand, lighter in another, trying to light it... and the parents are just sitting there minding their own business.  I was about to go over and explain to him the value of keeping all your body parts as long as possible, and the concept of third degree burns and skin grafts, when he decided it was time to switch the brain back on, and threw it away.  There really needs to be some better education about this stuff out there... for the parents more than the kids... {=o/

I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine, Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind
Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you've been walked on
My stage is shared by many millions, Who lift their hands up high because they feel this
We are one We are strong, The more you hold us down the more we press on
What if you did? What if you lied? What if I avenge? What if eye for an eye?

Actually, it was TERRIFIC, and thanks for asking.  I took my 3 nephews (6 yrs, 3 yrs, and ONE WEEK!)
to see the fireworks, and we all had a blast (pun DEFINITELY intended).  BTW, I read about your 4th, and I am QUITE jealous of the music selection.  Our fireworks were cool, but the music SUCKED!
