From: "]\\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[" To: Date: Mon 2 Jul 2001 00:49:56 -0400 ================================================ Okay, not to join in on the fight, because as lame as the jokes were, I simply deleted them... I mean, a joke can only get circulated so often. BUT on the subject of the FAQ (the FAQ is actually a different subject... I think Mad was wanting to mention the list Rules & Regulations instead). All that stuff that you had to scroll past to find out how to subscribe to the list. THAT would be the stuff that says such things as "No forwards and chain letters". The URL is http://creednet.com/discussion/discussion.htm and to take direct from that page (just so you know what she was referring to)... Q: Are there any rules or guidelines I need to know about the Creed list? A: Good question. We are strong believers in freedom of speech and would like to keep this list unmoderated. However, if people post whatever they feel like that has no Creed related content, then the list becomes a burden for most people who are here to discuss the band. We ask that you make an effort to keep discussions Creed related. Generally speaking, think before you post something to the list. Ask yourself whether you would get up in front of an audience of hundreds of people and read it to them. As the list administrators, we have a duty to keep the list a pleasant place for Creed fans. Therefore there are a few things that you should not post to the list; doing so may result in being removed from the list at our discretion: 1. No chain letters. This includes almost any piece of mail asking you to forward it to as many of your friends as possible. These are often requests to help some poor dying child by granting their wish that they receive the most emails ever and the Red Cross will donate money for every email sent. This story (and all stories like it) are bullshit. You're welcome to believe it if you want, but don't post those messages to the list! Also, please do not post virus warnings or SPAM of any sort. And (this is me again) to cover another subject you and someone else have been arguing, the one-liner posts... 5. Make your messages count. Subscribers aren't here to read witty, one line, musically irrelevant comments to some thread. Try to trim quoted passages as best you can, and avoid posting in anything other than plain text. Posting wholly in HTML is unacceptable, since many subscriber's email windows will not display it properly. Sigs (signatures) are of course, acceptable, but should not be longer than the last essay you wrote for English class. (Me yet again) There IS a FAQ page for Creed, which covers such subjects as their Christianity topics, and some background info on the band, at http://creednet.com/webdocs/faq.htm and there's a Band BIO at http://creednet.com/webdocs/bio.htm. I am certainly hoping that this covers about all the garbage that I've seen this week (which oddly enough keeps coming up every 2 months or so). I suggest that you (and anyone else who is new here and doesn't know much about how the list is working) go and check out those pages... and at the same time, maybe learn something new about the band. ¤]\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[¤ http://NightStorm.isyourgod.com/ NightStorm_Draco_@hotmail.com NightStorm_Draco@creedlist.com NightStorm@isyourgod.com I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine, Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you've been walked on My stage is shared by many millions, Who lift their hands up high because they feel this We are one We are strong, The more you hold us down the more we press on What if you did?
