What I see is that they have crappy infrastructure if this stuff is going to clog their servers. But be that as it may, it looks like it's as set in stone as it's going to get. Either way, I've tried a couple of other lists. The other ones have virtually NO volume which to me is worse than watching people catfight. At least I'm finding some entertainment here. I think perhaps that's why bulletin boards are so popular. You can read at your leisure and come and go without missing anything. I prefer to get things in my mail client and have it set up with rules that send mails from different places into different folders for reading when I can. And, of course, I live for the filtering features of email clients. Well, we'll see what happens. Things tend to work themselves out over time. You think 500 is rough... when the new list just started, it was at 250. A couple of us that were around then e-mailed Ed (this new guy that we had never seen, heard of, or talked to) and mentioned that we've topped 100 a day before. He upped it to 500, and said that we should be careful with what we post... to try and keep it a little on topic. After much "arguing" (not actual arguing, but a discussion that went back and forth several times). Here was the final conclusion, that he sent to the list, and CC'd to everyone that was talking to him about the limits.
