Based loosely on the Country Music Fan Fair, the multi-day event will feature face-to-face meetings and discussions between Creed and its fans. The band will perform two shows at the event, one a full-blown electric set, and one a scaled down acoustic set. No specific dates have been set for the event. Guitarist Mark Tremonti told LAUNCH he's amazed at the passion of Creed fans. "This one kid, he drew this big giant four-foot by four-foot painting of the cover of the album and then he did a big painting of Scott, and these painting must have taken him days," he said. "We let the kid on our tour bus and stuff and got him backstage to the shows. Every time we see him we let him back. If these people are just doing it out of being die hard fans we're going to treat 'em with respect." The Creed Fan Fair will take place in the band's hometown of Orlando, Florida, some time before Creed's forthcoming album, tentatively titled Weathered, is released. The band is aiming to hold event after it finishes recording and mixing the album. Activities include fan competitions in ping-pong and golf. The winner of the ping-pong tourney will get to play Tremonti and the winner(s) of the golf tourney will go up against singer Scott Stapp and drummer Scott Phillips. Creed will debut new material from Weathered at the Creed Fan Fair, and the band will handpick artists to play the fest from songs that have been submitted to an unsigned band website, Bombtrax. -- Darren Davis, New York To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
