There's a McD's where I live where you can order and pay by cell phone.  As long as they leave my Red Mill burgers alone, I can ignore it.

Funny you mention fries -- we had a discussion about fries at work the other day; who has the best ones.  Not one person named a mom and pop store; people debated between Wendy's, McD's, and Burger King.

*sigh*

I miss independent retailers.   Everything's an international conglomerate now.  A friend of mine that returned from vacationing in Japan was telling me that the McDonalds fries are better there and she had a hard time ordering her nonfat no whip latte at starbucks.  Oh yeah, subway had great service.

Why bother going, you know?  sheesh.
