I totally agree with this, Marilyn Manson does this stuff for shock value, and it works. I saw them at Ozzfest and they rocked the place, and the whole "devil act" on stage actually makes for an awesome show.  Marilyn Manson isn't the first person to do this kind of stuff either. Remember the days when Ozzy used to bite the heads off animals on stage, and got rabies from biting the head off a bat?  That was purely for shock factor too, combined with the massive amounts of drugs he took back then..
