Wouldn't it have been about the time that he put you on block? Yep, I'll admit that he brings your name up once in a while, just the same as he brings up Beth's name every once in a while... I believe he categorizes you both as "petty annoyances"... and from what I remember, that puts you and Beth right above the same level as household compost... good for the earth, but not something you ever want to be standing close to. Infact *asking him if I can do this* the only references he made to you involved him saying he's glad he's not you (Well, I'm not Jon (phew for that) but can I reply to this?) and him mentioning that he placed you on block, and his reasons why (Actually, I took it one step further... I put both of their e-mail addresses on block, so I no longer have a religion being pushed on me, or pointless arguing about a subject that would have otherwise been completed diplomatically. Since I no longer see any of the garbage that they write, I no longer have to get annoyed about them wasting our limited number of mails that can go through the list per day.). So what you see as "personal attacks requiring a return attack", most others might see as a simple response. And remember that with 3 people here subscribed to the list (him, me, and mom), he's still going to occasionally see the things you say about him for no reason other than to try and spread slander (I don't know about there, but it's illegal here in Michigan... I thought someone of such high standards as you when it comes to breaking the law might want to keep that in mind). I would think that someone of even remote maturity would listen to the words of several people on the list and drop a subject when asked, when it's apparent that all you're doing is upsetting people, one of which isn't even the person you're attacking. Don't you think that after 5 days of this garbage, that it's time to move on with your life and leave everyone else alone (didn't I already say this once?). And as for your OE comment about the default changing randomly, I have never actually experienced that... once or twice it might actually be a good thing (who knows, it might someday pick my address as the default and Dad can mess up). But so far, it's been very consistent... no matter what address anyone here replies from, his addy comes up in the "From line"... at least on mom's computer, I can have it actually come from mine normally if I hit "reply" from my inbox. I guess it's all in how it gets configured. -Dustin (who had to switch from html to plain text to make sure the mail goes through, and now thinks everything looks to boring) ----- Original Message ----- From: Jon To: CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM Sent: Sunday, June 24, 2001 11:38 PM Subject: Re: NCR: Follow Up It won't be, because like your father you cannot resist replying to attempt to have the last word. But you knew that.... Incidentally, you may want to redefine 'default' since it has been my experiences w/ OE that it will change when it feels like it. A new message can be opened from the Hotmail container and the From: line will change to the other account. Vice versa, and it is not consistent. Devs call that an 'undocumented feature'.
