I live near Orlando and there has been nothing in the papers or anything.  I think someone of his stature would have had some blurb mentioned in the local media or some other online new source.  Especially considering what most of the media thinks of Scott, they'd love the opportunity to tarnish their perceived image of him.

i wonder, as debbir mentioned earlier, if this was not about scott stapp, but scott wieland...who is well-known for his troubles with drugs...however, if it truly is about scott stapp, then my best wishes go out to him...at least he's man enough to ask for help...

first off i hope i'm sendin this to the right people, well i'm a little slow.
i havn't been payin close attention to the mail i get from list so i don't
know if you guys have discussed this or not. about 2 weeks ago i heard on
krock that scott was signed into a rehab clinic for a cocain addiction. at
first i thought this was kind od funny. mr. perfect got his ass in trouble,
and for some reason, in my demented world this was funny. but then, while
watchin the behind the music thing from vh1, i rembered all the crap scott
was sayin about how there is more to life than sex drugs and rock n roll.
that really pissed the shit out of me. it's like he's pissin in our faces.
whatever amn, it wouldn't have pissed me off so much if he didn't say that
shit on tv.

later days
