Creed Eye November For Third Album

Details on the follow-up to Creed's Human Clay are beginning to firm. The
band has scheduled a November 20 release date for its third album,
tentatively dubbed Weathered, according to the group's publicist.
Obsessive fans shouldn't free up their schedules for an all-day listening
party just yet, however, since not a single note of the new LP has been
committed to tape. The three permanent Creed members — principal songwriters
Scott Stapp (vocals) and Mark Tremonti (guitar) along with drummer Scott
Phillips — are slated to begin recording in early July with producer John
Kurzweg, who helmed 1999's Human Clay and Creed's debut, 1997's My Own Prison (see "Creed Map Out Recording Plans For Third LP").
The announcement of who will play bass in the studio — the band parted ways
with original bassist Brian Marshall last year — will be made in the coming
weeks, the group's publicist said (see "Creed Splits With Bass Player").
