(eg, shy, reserved, quiet, lonely etc) Also, I think a lot of people turn to these lists to gain confidence. I once become very close to a yougn lady who virtually had no self esteem after being physically (and mentally) abused in her previous relationship. As a whole (the internet as a whole) I am not so convinced its attracts 'certain people'. For most people I think the 'Net is just a source of information (eg to find info about golden labradors, aids, music, famous actor whatever), but email lists are something very different in my opinion. I can only describe it as a 'cult'. Where a group of people(large or small) with similar interests can come together and share their thoughts and gain friendships. If you told me Ewa, that you are something of a closed person, that is what I would expect! > please, please, please ppl tell me I'm not the only > one who came across these thoughts! you're not alone Ewa. I don't usually come across thoughts(!), but the whole internet thing is something that is really interested me from day 1. > And (I just remembered sth) I also think that ppl > like sending e-mails to (well let me just say it > straightforwardly here) strangers because of the > thrill of it - the unknown, it's a bit like sending > a message in a bottle, just in the futuristic > version. > when i was in school (a loooooooooooooooong time ago), we sent a message in a bottle to Norway I think it was. Much to our surprise we did get a reply. not exaclty a particulary nice one though!! :-) Mr Mungo, will never trust another woman for as long as he lives! :-) ____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
