Hey Jackson!
lol.. I liked you little introduction part (very descriptive and funny like hell), have to try it some time (and I've gotta be quick here cause you might come upon the silly idea of copyrighting this concept, knowing you.. hehe)
Coming back to the out-doing somebody's linguistic abilities part, don't worry I'm not worse than you in this department: I've ticked off the A) to C) list and found I was in possession of extented abilities, being the following: if there's a word for it in the English language I'll know it and knowing it, will find it very quickly and having found it - won't use it (ha! that would be to easy) but instead use a sophisticated neologism of my own and formed in seconds out of the four languages I am the proud to be able to speak and write in. Out-do that, Raven of Texas! hehe.. ;-) (but the part on the four languages was true)
I get your point on the poetic meaning of the word "soul" for you. Hmm.. <think, think, think to say somethin smart..;-) > Maybe you aren't that far away from the truth in mentioning the poetic nature of the word "soul". I mean, nobody really knows what a soul is, at least not exactly, and yes Jim, not scientifically (although I recognize the eforts science makes in linking the spiritual aspects to physical, emotional and psychological ones), so I guess, it does stay in the field of metaphysics which stays in close relation to poetry, don't you think? And speaking of poetry, I think one very important aspect to poetry is its ability (or better call it a "striving to an ability") of expressing the unexpressible, i.e. which our minds fail to understand in the first place and when it comes to expressing it are completely helpless, exept they try it with the help of poetry (ok maybe I'm exaggerating here on the enlightened nature of poetry and on its importance in our lifes, but hey, what else would you expect to hear from a poetry freak? ;-)
yep, I completely agree with the fact that animals possess a certain degree of intelligence (stress the certain degree part and you'll get my point) but of course it is very little compared to human intelligence, the example of which lies right infront of our eyes: electronic mail, computer etc. Quite an interesting experiment (the one with the ravens), I must say. Congrats to you Raven on my behalf... hehehe ;-) sorry, just had to say that.
Anyway, don't go copyrighting every word because I'll be left with words you don't want to hear.. hehe
