RE: Chat session. One question.

Wow, there's someone else out in creedville! Woohoo!
I've heard some of the DR solo stuff. I really like it, too. I'm waiting for the release also. Hootie is on my list of great bands. Especially live. They love to perform and it's crystal clear when they're on stage. That's always so attractive to me despite the type of music a band plays. If they look like they're having fun, I like 'em.

Yeah, SRV died in a helicopter crash just over 10 years ago. He was traveling with some of Eric Clapton's staff from Wisconsin to New York.

Here are the most interesting parts of the chat transcript for me:

And I think he's right - at least regarding the influence of music...I'm not convinced it should cross over to anyone's private life, though.

This one follows my philosophy of: Life's experiences, collectively, make us the person we are today. And today's knowledge and experience will mold us into who we'll be tomorrow. We wouldn't be who we are without them. Regrets and "do overs" are a waste of energy.

Have a great day all!

Subject: Chat session. One question.

What bands are you guys feeling right now? (Doesn't have to be new bands.)
Scott Stapp: An unsigned band out of LA called The Color Green is pretty much my favorite right now. Their stuff might be online somewhere. This was the first thing that's come along that I've heard in a long while that wasn't just screaming and noise,
My comment: I'm inclined to agree with Scott on the bulk of the bands being a bunch of screaming and noise. But there are a few bands that are getting ready to release albums.
it was well put together songs and lyrics, and also Darius Rucker has a solo project he's working on, and I'm really vibing on the stuff right now.
I'll have to check out both the solo DR and Color Green.

Mark Tremonti: I've been getting into Stevie Ray Vaughn right now.
Is he still alive? I thought that he passed on.

Yes Debbie. I read it and enjoy getting a view of what the band is thinking. A transcript of a chat session is pretty good. It at least gives you an idea as to what the band is up to.

I like the question about the bands that they respect or are friends with. Collective Soul was one of the bands. Plus a lot of bands that they tour with.
