================================================ Subject: Re: christianity and Creed questions From: "Taylour L Manly" To: Date: Fri 11 May 2001 11:53:24 -0700 ================================================ 1. Most anthropologists agree that men and dinosaurs did not live at the same time; that dinosaurs existed millions of years before man existed. 2. Why would God allow a creature that "ranks first" (ahead of humans) to die out? 3. Why would a God who is "all-forgiving" punish sinners by killing them in a flood? Wouldn't that negate the forgiving aspect of God's nature? 4. How (and/or why) would a perfect being make imperfect creations in the first place? 5. Going back even farther, how or why would God have created a being that would be the starting point of sin and evil (i.e. Satan)? 6. If we're all descendants of the "good people" (Noah's family), why is there still evil in the world? 7. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall prehistoric human fossils being discovered... does that mean that Noah (and all other people in that time period) were Neanderthals? Meaning, God created people in his own image (the image being prehistoric man), and then people evolved from the way they were created into what we are today? 8. Where are the remains of the "millions or billions" of people killed during the flood? According to the website, all the things not on the ark would have been covered with layers of sediment and fossilized. 9. According to Christians, how old is the earth? Dinosaur fossils millions of years old have been found... the website states that dinosaurs were alive during and after the flood... but wasn't the flood only about 4,000 years ago according to the Bible? So far as I know, no dinosaur fossils that recent have ever been found. I could be wrong though, anthropology isn't my strong point. ok i'm still pretty new at answering questiuons but here goes: i have no answer for one, other than i'll have to ask God when i get to heaven. so sorry bout that, same applies for two. three i can answer. just because God is all loving and forgiving doesn't mean he isn't just. if you did something wrong again and again and again to your parents, no matter how loving and forgiving wouldn't they punish you? i know death seems harsh but there was killing of others and all this evil stuff going on, so if someone kills someone they get ssent to death row, and thats ok. in my opinion God was trying to start over but he didn't want to punish(kill) the good duy, so he saved noah. 4: God didn't make us imperfect, we made ourselves imperfect, starting from the garden. God dosen't want robots to serve him and love him because thats what he says. God wants us to love him because we want to. so he gave us free will, and ever since the garden we have wantyed to do things our way. God knew this and sent Jesus. 5: satan wasn't eveil in the beginning, he was an angel of light, he wanted to be higher than God and tried to fight God. He became evil when he was thrown out of heaven and sent to hell, which was created for him, he decided to hate the work of God and turn his creation against him, which only worked halfway because people still believe in jesus. 6: just because noah was perfect(or close enough) dosen't mean his sons, sons were, and they could have eassily justified their wrongs, we do all the time. then they changfed the way they raised their kids and so forth and so on, and here we are today. 7:i could be wrong too but i seem to recall that case or one similar to it, and it was a hoax. some people reshaped some pigs teeth and sanded them down. stained them to make them look old and then preteded to dig them up./ they fooled scientists for years saying it was man's earliest stages and all that, they even tried to support eveolution by sticking the teeth in a monkey's skull after dying it! so i believe we always have looked the way we do now, features and all.(my two cents only) 8:also when the blble says the heavens opened and the floodgates of the eart were released(i think i'm qouting that just about to the letter.)it means all the water under the earth came up so all that pressure and crashing againsty thing could have broken the bones and such.also think of how the earth has changed in hieght. they could be buried deeper than we can dig. but i'm not sure on that one or nine either, but i hope i helped. not trying to be pushy, just trying to help. love you guys. gtg!
