If I remember things that I read in the bible. It is pretty much that way. I'm referring to what I believe was a parable of a vineyard or an olive grove. I can't remember which was the subject of the parable. Anyway, the parable was talking about growing grapes or olives and about the wild more bitter fruits growing and populating the refined fruits. The goal was to cut down and to burn the rubbish. So that each successive fruit would become more palatable and more attractive. I agree with the idea of purging the least desirable and unpalatable fruits from the vine. Though I admit that I'm not an active "gardener". The parable came pretty close to what I was saying about promoting parasitic beings. That is to say the ones that charge us for things way more than it costs to get, make and the like. Effectively sucking the life out of the more desirable beings. Sort of like dandylions populate a lawn.
