Hey everybody!
Well, last night definately kicked ass.  I had a really great time and met a
lot of cool people.  The venue was Wetlands Preserve..it's a little bar on
the lower west side in Tribeca (it you're familiar with the NYC area).  It's
a super hippie place where you can have a beer and sign 40 different
petitions about saving the environment.  Very cool.
Anyway, I got there about 7:30...the show started at 8:00.  DP was awesome.
This was my first time to see them live...they kicked ass.  The lead singer
has an amazing stage presence and he made the show very enjoyable despite the
12 angry 16 yr olds beside me that were moshing into me.  Not very cool.
After their show their lead singer spotted me at the bar and came over to
say hi and flirt and kiss my hand for a little while.  He was super nice.
Can't wait to see them at Ozzfest!
Then BHC took the stage...despite a little technical difficulty.  Scott, the
bass player's, amp went out durring their set.  CRegg just tried to impov the
whole time singing whatever came to mind (which he's pretty good at).  They
did a great job and despite the fact that the crowd never really got into
them.  That was kind of disappointing.
Then the time came...F11 took the small stage.  I don't have to tell you...it
was amazing.  I could see them every night of the week and never get tired of
it.  This was my 6th F11 show.  (my 7th is in Nashville on May 20).  The
setlist they are playing for this tour is:
First Time
For The Ocean
Suffocate
Thin Spirits
Sick Of It All
Shudder
Carousel
Walking In My Shoes
Bones and Joints
Tip
Temp Arms
Quicksand
Condenser
Gutterball
Above
Stay and Drown
Drag You Down
It was so much fun...I loved singing along with every word with everyone in
the crowd.  You could hardly hear Scott in that place because everybody there
was singing.  I can not wait for them to come back to NYC...just in a
slightly bigger venue.  While I am a fan of the smaller, more personal
venues, last night proved that F11 is a little too big for that small of a
place.  (there is probably 9ft between the front of the stage and the back
wall)
So, that's it.  They all took off right after the show to go to the Wind-up
Party at Walker's Restauraunt.  :( maybe they'll do a meet and greet in
Nashville.  Have a nice day!
