================================================ Subject: Re: question. Why the upset on Creed being a group of type Christian? From: "Creed - 7M3 - Live" To: Date: Sun 6 May 2001 23:03:27 -0400 ================================================ Steve, I think that people get upset about all of the classification of Creed being a Christian group. Mainly because of that classification supposing that all songs are religios in nature. I don't mind the classification of Creed's music being Christian because I would say that is a relief that the music that Christian's can listen to have broken the Rock music is from the devil mentality passed on by many earlier Christian faiths. I enjoyed talking about the songs as being Christian related and have liked one other band that I found out from those that are listening to RAP and Rock versions of Christian themed music. The band is Stavesacre or a name like that. I listened and enjoyed the music. However, I really didn't like DC Talk though. I feel that talking about Creed's music from a Christian stance is great. But some seem to break out into areas that would call people damned for believing in cretain things. Creed's music is listened to people that believe in a host of religions and those that believe in the universal religion that "stuff happens". Being that no one likes to be told that they are going to be going to hell. This discussion is pretty touchy. Plus, the belief in someone else being tortured because of someone elses misdeeds is a controversial ideal. I realize that there are beings that hold the pursuit to save others. Even at thier own demise is a reality, when talking about fire-fighters and the like. I can also see that Jesus could of been the biggest "firefighter" in the world. Since he was supposed to be saving those from the fires of damnation. But, my disbelief is that I feel that things happen in direct proportion to your actions and in cases of accidental actions (not meaning for them to happen, but fate put you there) I am disgusted at the thought of putting some being through torture to appease some other being that is dis-satisfied with my imperfections. The God that I feel is a direct reflection of my better side. Without the faults that I personally have. What faith I have is unsure. Since I believe I'll be sorted into several directions. with my imperfections going into one direction and my superiorities going into another. Then again, the imperfections lead us to perfection. Since the imperfections cause us to vary into different directions, That is basically why we don't discuss Creed's Christianity or not. Hope this one doesn't happen to you. There isn't much that you can do about it. It will probably be quite unpleasant. if you meet an older version of yourself who has invented a time traveling machine, and has come from the future to meet you? Play this one by the book. Ask about the stock market and cash in. Don't forget to invent a time traveling machine and visit your younger self before you die, or you will create a paradox.
