For a while, my ex-husband was staying with Scott and I while he was waiting for a studio apartment in town to open up. Several people I work with had comments to make about that, because I was living with both my fiance and my ex-husband. It just so happens that my ex-husband is my best friend - one of those cases where the relationship didn't work out, but the friendship stayed strong. So even now, we'll occasionally meet somewhere for lunch or dinner, either just the two of us or with our 5 year old son... and people think that's weird too, because Jason (my ex) doesn't bring his girlfriend, and I don't bring Scott. But for us, it's normal... and maybe that's why I can sort of understand "unusual" relationships pretty well. I've learned not to worry about what other people have to say about me, because no matter what, someone will always have something negative to say. It's gotta be a lot worse for people who are in the media spotlight... I can just imagine what the papers would say if I were famous and people were following my every footstep! lol So, I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt... if you're not in their life, you can't know every detail.
