Thanks Facelessman2001 for the acknowledgement of me enjoying a band with talent and appriciation for their fans. I enjoyed Creed since the MOP song hit the radio. But, if they happened to play a club that I frequented and were unknown. I'm sure that I would of likes them instantly. Radio has its role on making or breaking a band. But for those with talent. Recognition by small clubs and fans has a more powerful effect on the band being worth my attention. I don't know if I would of ever gotten into Creed without hearing them on the radio. Since I'm an older, married and more settled down. Than in my younger days. But the lack of support by MTV and the like sure did not stop the band. A local radio station and a local Columbus, Ohio band warred it out in the past and it killed the band. Except for my weekend visits to our Rock clubs. The last I've heard from them was a few years ago. I guess they play the LA clubs now. The band was called "The GodZ" and their biggest hit was gotta keep a runnin'. The guitarist made it to Bob Segar's band. (Mark Chatfield) But I don't know about the other band members. I think that Hanson Management, Wind-up and the local Florida radio outlets did the right thing on promoting Creed. Otherwise, all of the big recording companies and music television stations would of stopped us from hearing even about Creed.
