I was | on very corner of the catwalk on the Mark side....a good place to be for | seeing the singers...a bad place to be for injuries....ah well, its worth | it...these bruises will heal one of these days! Anyway...surprisingly, the | crowd was real mellow during all the the 3DD set...they did the same songs in | the same order that they've done each time I saw them, but most people there | didn't seem to have a clue who they are. I still liked it though! | | As soon as Sevendust started, the crowd started getting bad, you could see | all the people that were there just to see them squeezing in...but I held my | ground, and just pushed back that much harder. The shows are starting to all | run together here now, I'm having trouble remember details of the individual | ones, but I'm thinking Sevendust did the same show they did the last few | times too. I know I told you all that Lajon, their singer, invited me | backstage for this show, but I didn't stick around to find out if my name was | on the will call list, I wanted to be on the rail! One thing that was cool, | at the end of their show, Lajon made a comment about all the fans that didn't | think Creed and Sevendust should be touring together....I think both bands | really like the crowd diversity, of course none of them are in the pit....lol. | | Creed opened the show with Ode again....at first I thought they must just | switch the set list back and forth between the two they seem to be | using....but surpisingly...they did Wash Away Those Years again, and they'd | just done it the show before, so that was very cool...this time I was right | there on the rail to watch him sing it, and it was awesome, totally | heartwrenching! Other than that song, it was the same basically the same set | list as Fort Wayne. They opened to the wall of flame behind Phillips and | rocked hard. Scott didn't seem to be coming down the catwalk much at first, | and I was thinking....oh sure, now that I'm right here on the end of the damn | thing, you decide to stay on the main stage...lol....but he did start coming | down there....and when he sang Faceless Man, when he got to the part where he | first sings "Cause if the face inside can't see the light I know, I'll have | to walk alone...and if I walk alone to the other side I know, I might not | make it home....he sang this entire part directly to me! Damn it was | cool....I pointed up at him, he pointed back at me, smiled and just kept | singing....then he walked away for a minute, and came back and sang another | verse right to me! Man, I was smiling like an idiot and damn near crying!! | I just can't ever get enough of watching his eyes when he sings!! ahhhh, | heavy sigh!! Oh and ladies....he was looking so fine dresses in these brown | kinda shiny pants and a black t-shirt...and of course his cowboy boots that | he always wears! | | They did Illusion, of course they did, they know I wanna hear it....lol...but | it was kind of weird when it started...it didn't sound right to me and I | actually had to ask Dess if it was Illusion....I wasn't sure if they were | off, or if it was just my hearing....sometimes those bass speakers are really | buzzing.....anyone else who was there notice if it sounded funny? Anyway, | besides that, Brian kicked ass as usual and thrilled me to death with it. Oh | and Kim....no skin time either.....LOL....he wore that jacket over a t-shirt | again, he took off the jacket, but left the shirt on the whole night! When | he first came out, he was wearing a black ski cap, like Mark wore at the St. | Petes show....luckily he took it off pretty early on! | | When the did What's This Life For, it started with Mark doing his solo intro, | it still amazes me how many people don't know what he's playing when he | starts it....the crowd always cheers for him when he finishes, then he kicks | in with the opening notes after the intro and they all go nuts when they | recognize the song....but last night was cute, cause when he finished the | intro, he was raising his hands up, to get the crowd to cheer louder for | him....I think thats the first time I've seen Mark act less than totally | humble....but he's so awesome, he doesn't need to be! | | Security at that placed sucked, just like Dess said....some chick got up on | stage twice and went running down the catwalk and jumped into the crowd, the | second time she just about ran into Scott, who was grabbing up the water | bottles to throw on the crowd. He came along with four of them in his hands | at once and threw it right in my face....no wonder I always look like hell | after a concert....lol. | | I think it was during Unforgiven that Brian went up on the raised platform | that Scott Phillips is set up on, and he stood behind him and just jammed! | Then Scott got really into it, and everybody was screaming for him, it was | awesome! Brian was over jamming by Mark again too....I think this is one of | my favorite parts of the show now....Brian used to never move, stayed way | back by the drum kit, now he's all over the stage and it's great....when him | and Mark jam together, its awesome to watch! | | I know I'm leaving out a lot of details of the show, I must be suffering from | that "concert amnesia" thing again....lol. Anyway, they finished with WTLF, | then came back again with One and Higher for the encore. Kalamazoo loves | Creed...and Creed loved 'em back...it was another awesome sold out jam packed | scream till your hoarse show!! | | I'm going to end this review here.....cause it's quite lengthy....I have | another to follow, but I'm gonna seperate them. Thanks for reading, if | you're still with me this far! | | V To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
