That's why the | half hour drive to the venue took that full hour and a half! So when we | arrive Oleander is just starting their second song. We watch them from the | side and whenever we get a chance, push past unsuspecting watchers. When the | "big drumstick battle" broke out after Oleander I got right up front and | center. (Well, second row center). When the pushing started it wasn't really | a big deal because the guy behind me was doing a pretty good job of keeping | them off me. ever few minutes the crowd would slam forward and you could | feel your ribs being crushed, but hey... that's to be expected! When Creed | started it was a hold different story. When they took the stage and we were | blinded by the white flashing lights (If you've seen them, you know what I'm | talking about) everyone stopped... oh for maybe a half a second. Then the | pushing started again and people started bailing out. That's all fine and | good. I'm watching Scott sing around the security guards. He has such good | eye contact that you can tell exactly when he's looking at you (when he says | "let me see you smile" during Ode~LOL*) I watched Brian for a while, but | evertime he'd look at me, I'd smile and he'd kind of give me this half smile | and look away. By this time a guy I call "flanel guy" moved in. He decided | he'd help the security guards pull people out, but in doing this was leaning | over me and taking my limited supply of Oxygen. After a couple futile | attempts to pull out the girl in front of me, I had the guy pull me out. ( I | found out after that in the midst of pulling that girl out, she lost her | shoe) When the security guard pulled me out, he pulled me out over his | shoulder, I suppose he thought there was someone else behind him to grab me, | so he stood there for a minute and waited. That was all fine with me because | I had a few seconds of being a few feet away from Scott. But then the guy | realized there was no one behind him and moved and set me down. So I went to | the side and watched this drunk guy fight with security guards and then | focused back on my view of the guys. Brian took his shirt off somewhere | around the end of the 4th song. He usually doesn't do that until the end, | but everyone said that the ARAGON is the hottest venue there ever was. Scott | does his usual mock-dancing during and for a while got his face inches from | Brian's bass and watched him play (amusing). Also Scott does his usual skip | around the stage thing... also rather entertaining. We were watching | towards the end, and I suppose someone was crying in the front because Scott | was looking down their and smiled. He put his fingers on the corners of his | mouth and symbolized for them to smile and then he pointed at them and did | the "smile thing" again. | | I forgot to mention the performance of Our Lady Peace... Great as always. | Rain did the usual pounding of his chest, and signing with his eyes close. | But he did do something that I didn't notice at the last concert. During | one of the songs where he wasn't singing he shoved his hand (with the mic) up | his shirt and was twisting it around and then he was taping on the mic and | starring at it and he looked like he was trying to pull it out of his shirt, | but couldn't. Then he just went on his way singing normally...weird guy. | | After the show the guitarist for Oleander hung around and signed my ticket | stub but we didn't stay because a stupid security guard sad the alley was | closed and we'll see them on Friday! Well i better go... see ya | | K To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
