Because Excel, same as almost every other program that is installed to a computer, makes entries to the systems registry. Without those registry entries, and the system files that usually get installed to the Windows folder (drivers or .dll files or whatever), the program will not function. Your best bet really is to just use the install disk and put a fresh new copy of Excel on computer 2. Otherwise, you're likely to just end up with one hell of a headache. ¤]\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[¤ http://www.isyourgod.com NightStorm_Draco_@hotmail.com Admin@AmericanPearlFan.cjb.net NightStorm_Draco@isyourgod.com I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine, Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you've been walked on My stage is shared by many millions, Who lift their hands up high because they feel this We are one We are strong, The more you hold us down the more we press on What if you did? I'm at friends office and they have Excel on computer "1" and they need it on computer "2". Here's what i was thinking that i could do and you could maybe tell me if it would work: i thought that i might be able to take a floppy disk and copy the full program in bits and peices and take it to computer "2" and put in the directory matching that which on computer "1" and proceed to do this till the full program is moved over. I really want to avoid having to go through doing a networking cause i'm not so savvy in that. do you think that would work? | email me back as soon as you can i'm out of town so i might not be able to get it right away.
