With Ximian Evolution. The spell checker and the mailer are separate programs. But the programs are interfaced together "sweetly". The spell checker works like the MS word feature that underlines words that are spelled wrong. You correct them in much the same way. Right now. I am using Kmail. Which you have to launch the speller manually. Hopefully, the spell checker will be corrected in XP's interfacing methods. (Maybe service pack 7.)
