The song Everything...is he talking to someone he loves, or to God? I've never heard the band specify, but it could very clearly be sung to God. Even Hanging by a Moment. Breathing...Cling and Clatter...I think just about every song they sing could be sung to God without changing a WORD. And there are many other songs like that. Obviously POD's music could. If anyone has heard any explanations from Lifehouse, let me know. I'd be interested to hear what they have to say. Their website sucks, BTW. Waaaay back in the good ol' 1980's I can't tell you how many times I heard CHristianized versions of "I want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner and "You're the Inspiration" by Chicago. I cringed every time I heard them. At least with bands like Stryper, the songs could be applied in either direction without the "tweaking". Oddly enough, Foreigner front man Lou Gramm accepted Christ serveral years ago through Harvest Crusades and Greg Laurie had him on his program singing...you guessed it...a Christianized version of "I Want to Know What Love Is." I think the chorus was changed to something like "Lord now I know what love is / through your Blood you have shown me..." I still cringed. >> To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
