From: "Debbi" To: Date: Sun 20 Jan 2002 19:06:26 -0800 ================================================ I hear ya with the "whatever happened" but for people that try to justify it's use in examples like the ones Gina presented: Bogus argument. In common usage it no longer means those things as much as it describes sexual orientation. That argument is along the same lines that someone on another list once used to defend her wearing of a pin with a swastika on it. She claimed that it was used by some Indian or African culture long before the Nazis used it so it's not offensive.
