New Creed, P.O.D. Tracks On 'Scorpion King'

Creed, P.O.D., Godsmack, System Of A Down, Nickelback, Sevendust, and Mushroomhead are among the acts that have contributed new tracks to Universal's "Music From and Inspired by 'The Scorpion King'," due March 26 from Universal. The film, the third in the series of "The Mummy" films, stars wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Kelly Hu. It opens April 19 in U.S. theaters.

The first single from the soundtrack will be Godsmack's new "I Stand Alone." The album also includes a new track from Creed, "To Whom it May Concern," which doesn't appear on the group's latest album, "Weathered." That set is atop The Billboard 200 for the seventh straight week. Other artists featured on the soundtrack include Rob Zombie and Ozzy Osbourne, Coal Chamber, Drowning Pool, and Hoobastank.

In other Creed news, VH1 is set to air "Creed: Opening Night Live" tonight (Jan. 16) at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show, airing from Atlanta's Philips Arena, will document the opening night of Creed's North American tour in support of "Weathered," complete with rehearsal footage and clips of the band preparing for the tour.
