No, of course not. That would be the same as saying no one is a fan of any band if they didn't know of them from first existence. I also don't believe that only Florida fans are the "true fans" as many have said. I do, however, believe you aren't really a fan of the band if you're only a fan because of Higher, or WAWO, or because you might think Stapp looked really hot in the videos. IMHO, those fans aren't music fans, they're groupies!
